III. Prior Experience not in Education: Worked as Chief Engineer and Director of Sales and Marketing for a National Company.  Corporate Purchasing Agent for National Company.

IV. Professional Memberships: Member of Middle Tennessee Webmasters Association.  Served as Chairperson of the Academic Computing Committee. Served as Chairperson of the SACS Safety and Security Sub-Committee.

V. Professional Memberships Attended: Served on the Faculty Council, the Executive Council and the Dean's Council.  Appointed to the Tennessee Board of Regents' technology committee. Served on the Distance Learning and Computing and Technology Committees. 

VI. VII. Publications: Several publications developed for the VSCC Web Page and Academic Computing.  Developed several Web Publications for Training Faculty and Students.

VIII. Other Research Activity: Instrumental in web technology research for the college. Created and developed VSCC's Web Presence. Developed Vol State's 'Live Cam' for transmission through the Internet Worldwide. Increased the Faculty Development Center's training capacity, incorporating new technology and teaching and learning techniques.

Seminars, Training Programs, etc.: Attended several computer training seminars.   Conducted Summer Web Workshop for Faculty at Vol State.  Served as trainer and speaker at the Tennessee Board of Regent's Summer Academies at the Renaissance Center.   Certified as a trainer for the Regent's Online Degree Program.

XII. Professional Presentations, Speeches, etc.: Guest Speaker at the Goodlettsville, Madison and Hartsville Chambers of Commerce, the National Newspaper Association, Tennessee Business Educators Association, Association of Information Technology Professionals, Civic Clubs, local schools, businesses, etc.

XIII. Institutional Services Performed: Teaching assignments include full time fiscal course loads. Other duties include instructing faculty in the Faculty Development Center; creating and maintaining VSCC's Internet presence and assisting Academic Computing Services. Developed the first Excel Course being taught through the Internet. Taught the first ITV CIS 100 course to Livingston Campus.

Developed and implemented many new web pages, including JAVA scripts.
Coordinated the development of an 'interactive' computer lab at Livingston.
 Developed several handouts and slide presentations for CIS 100,  150 and CIS 270.
Trained several faculty members on developing their course web pages.
Served on the Regent's Degree Template Committee that developed templates for all Online Degree Programs.

XIV. Recognition and Honors: Nominated for Teacher of the Year and Who's Who
in American College Teachers. Recipient of the Tennessee Board of Regents' Innovations
in Distance Education Award.  Appointed to the Tennessee Board of Regents' On-Line
Asynchronous Education Task Force Committee.  Outstanding Faculty Award 1998-1999. 
Recipient of the Tennessee Board of Regents' Trailblazer Award.

XV. Professionally Related Community Activities: Lectured Local Banks and their patrons on the Millennium Bug and Future Technologies. Regular Guest Speaker at local Chambers of Commerce, Civic Clubs and other community events.  Designed network systems for non-profit organizations.  Technical Advisor for local Schools and Government Agencies.
